1800s Large Surveyor's Cross with Compass & Original Box

Description

This is a 1800s Large Surveyor's Cross with Compass in its Original Box.  I cannot find any makers marks on it but believe it is French or Spanish because of the O instead of an E.  It measures 7 inches tall and the compass needle is 2 1/4 inches long.  Seems in nice shape, a couple of the thin wires are not tight but otherwise good.
