Antique Buff & Buff Brass Surveyors Transit #5668 With Oak Case Pat. Nov,13 1900

Overall the piece is in good condition with signs of use, but overall still a very solid piece. Transit is marked #5668. I tested it out and was able to see my neighbors house pretty well about 75 yards away, like I could reach out and touch it. The compass part seems to be working, but I am not very familiar with it. All of the level bubbles work like they should, easy to read. So overall a nice transit. The oak box is in good shape overall, and all the sides are dovetail joints. All of the hardware and latches appear to be original and accounted for. So overall a great piece to add to your collection. Please feel free to ask any questions or request more pictures.
