    Description

    Antique Burmese A-le 20 tical, a bronze zoomorphic form market weight often referred to as an “opium weight”, the form  of the mythical Hintha, a Brahmani Duck (Hamsa) emblem of the Mon kingdom with duck’s bill, crested comb, bulging eyes, protruding side wings and upturned tail, three clawed feet with the additional pillar support on the underside, stand on a tapered hexagonal base with crenellated incising on the shoulder and two incised bands on five of the sides, the sixth with a six petal flower.
