fairhaven rd500 communications receiver

Description

I'm selling my favorite radios. My landlord will no longer allow outdoor antennas.
The Fairhaven RD-500 receiver made a big splash when it first appeared, outperforming virtually everything on the market short of rack-mounted professional/military communications receivers, but in a really compact package. As you can see, it fits easily on a small lamp table so that I am able to have a world-class DX "shack" right by comfortable chair. (On top of it is an AOR 7030, which is also being sold in a separate eBay auction)
The Fairhaven covers everything from about 10Khz to  1750 Mhz and every frequency in between, and does it in an extremely competent manner. AM, CW, SSB U and L, FM (narrow,wide, and wide with Stereo decoder).
From my comfy chair I can listen to hams, aircraft, shortwave broadcasts, and when I tire of those, I can punch in the frequency of my favorite classical station, change the mode to FMS and listen in stereo through the headphone jack .
You can plug in an external speaker, but there's  one in the top of the radio. If you want to monitor police or fire channels, you can silence the speaker until there's a signal with the SQUELCH control.
To cover all these frequencies you'll have to use several antennas. See the photo for the connectors on the back.
I have had it for a number of years and there are minors scuffs on the case, but overall it is in Very Good Condition. The front panel is scratch-free.
The dust you see is greatly exaggerated by the bright flash or sunlight I used for the photos.
Do your research; I think you'll find this to be a remarkable radio.
The manual can be downloaded online, but I've included a CD with and a photocopy of schematics.
You're seeing the back panel with only one antenna connected. There was a rats nest of cables going to both receivers  which I had tie wrapped to the table leg.
Includes a 12 vdc power supply.
