This sale is for the Icom IC-EX310 synthesized voice module.  The purpose of this module is to announce voice frequency.  This module is most often utilized by someone who is visually impaired, but has also found use among someone driving a car who cannot readily see the display or with someone using a unit that has a bad display.  Some hobbyists just like to have this option installed even if it is not required for their personal needs.
We have been selling amateur radio and shortwave equipment on Ebay for 17 years and we sell these on occasion as they come into our hands.  These EX310's are not as commonly found as the equipment as they were sold as a factory after-market option.
Installation is easy in most units.  Once you remove the cover, the module screws into place and then plugs into the harness inside the unit.  The known units that can utilize this IC-EX310 are:
