    Description

    For bid is an original June 23, 1919 check for from the Phoebe Apperson Hearst ESTATE, Hearst Ranch, Pleasanton, California.  Check posted against the Bank of Pleasanton account of Heart's Estate.  Phoebe Apperson Hearst had died on April 13, 1919.  She was the mother of William Randolph Hearst a
    nd the window of Senator George Hearst, a mining magnate.
    This check is filled out to H. a. Jepson and signed by Trustee George F. Kincaid, signed from Hearst Ranch also known as “Hacienda del Pozo de Verona.”
    Her Hacienda building was completed in 1898 and she lived there until her death in 1919.
    H. A. Jepson endorsed the check on the back.
    Several holes in a pattern on check.
    This was check number 236 of the series.
