    Description

This is a collection of four ARC-5 type “command set” military radio receivers. A matching power supply is included which can be plugged into any of the receivers. All of the receivers are in good working condition. They each include one of the hard to find original local tuning knobs. All have had the audio output transformer changed to one with a 4-8 ohm secondary so that a regular speaker or low impedance phones may be used. The collection includes the following radios: (1) BC-946-B .52-1.5 mhz by Colonial Radio Corp. This very rare & hard to find model is an excellent AM broadcast receiver. (2)
CCT-46104 1.5-3 mhz by Stromberg-Carlson. This somewhat scarce model covers the 160 meter band & includes the hard to find original local control panel. (3)
BC-454-B 3-6 mhz by Western Electric. This covers the 75/80 meter ham band. (4) R-27/ARC-5 6-9.1 mhz by Aircraft Radio Corporation. This covers the 40 meter ham band. These were used extensively in WWII & have been a ham radio mainstay ever since then. They are compact & fun to use radios. Due to the age of these items & parts robbers on Ebay, they are sold strictly as is, as possible parts or project units. Payment must be received within three days of auction end. Happy bidding!!
SHIPPING COST: Please be aware that Ebay/PayPal now takes about a 15% fee out of what the buyer pays for shipping cost. The seller does not receive all of what the buyer pays for shipping & this “fee” must be added to actual shipping costs (postage, cartons, padding material etc.) just to break even on shipping. On large & heavy items with high postage, this can be a significant amount. I pack items to arrive safely & I try very hard to just break even & not to over charge on shipping. I, also, refund any significant overpayment above my actual total shipping costs back to the buyer
