Vintage Buff & Buff Boston Surveying Transit Brass Theodolite

For sale is a vintage Buff & Buff Manufacturing Company Boston Surveying Transit Brass Theodolite. There are three levelers. The bottom leveler underneath the front lens is clean, visible, and working. The leveler next to the big adjusting wheel to tilt the lens appears to be working but is difficult to see and might not be completely functional. The leveler that runs along the tube is clean and in working condition. Lenses are cloudy and don't appear to be focusing, but this may be due to us not knowing how to use the device properly. All other pieces appear to be functioning but cannot be guaranteed as we do not know how to properly use the device. Finish is pitting and in need of cleaning. Does not include a case or lens cover.
