VINTAGE C. L. BERGER & SONS, INC. TRANSIT W/ CASE, TRIPOD.
Listing includes everything pictured.
Transit, wooden case with plumb bob, wooden tripod.
Transit is # 27400
Transit is in nice condition. Some areas of the black show brass/gold color. Not sure, perhaps it’s brass painted black and rubbing off?.
Level bubbles working. Somewhat dusty, could use cleaning.
Looked through lense and COULD NOT get a clear focused image.
Wood case has wears from use. Scratched and scuffed. Leather carrying strap is broken. Does have a 12 oz. plumb bob in door.
Tripod is wooded fixed leg. Shows signs of weathering.
Belongs to a local surveyor who is retiring and selling off business.
