Vintage Dietzgen 6100 Series Land Survey Transit Level in Wooden Case

VINTAGE DIETZGEN
LAND SURVEYOR'S TRANSIT LEVEL
Item is in great shape and would look wonderful
on display in an office or conference room.
Very heavy and solid piece.  All the adjustment dials
and levels function as they should.
There are some areas of paint loss, but no rust or major
problems.  The brass showing beneath the small spots
of paint loss adds a nice bit of character to the piece.
The transit is about 13.75" tall.  The lens cover and sunshade
are included.
The wood box has a lot of wear.  The leather handle on top is
broken.  There are dents, nicks, scratches, and missing chunks
in the wood.  Two of the metal corners are missing from the
bottom corner of the box.  Two of the rubber feet are missing
from the bottom of the box.  One of the latches is missing, but the
door will stay closed with the one remaining latch.
There is no key.  I'm not sure if the key latch still functions.
The wood box measures 16" tall x 13.5" wide x 8.75" deep.
