    Description

Vintage W. Bill London Cashmere TURTLENECK SWEATER Scotland sz 6
This vintage W. Bill cashmere turtleneck is soooo comfy! Made of 100% cashmere is Scotland, it was sold at W. Bill's store on Bond Street in London (the high end shopping district). Fans of the W. Bill label will know that it was this purveyor who supplied the sweaters to Sir Ernest Shackleton for the first Arctic Expedition in 1908 and Sir Edmund Hilary for the first Everest Expedition in 1953. Picasso was also a fan of W. Bill jacket, for whom the company made many. Their work is impeccable and product second to none.
This particular sweater is knitted from a beautiful mauvish purple cashmere. The sleeves are made to be folded at the cuff, but can be worn straight. Though not new, the sweater looks very good and has no structural flaws (like holes or loose seams), nor any stains. It doesn't look stretched out at all. It looks very nice and has a lot of wear left in it.
The measurements of the sweater are roughly consistent with a contemporary size 6, though it fits our mannequin nicely, which wears a size 2/4. Because every figure is different, please...
**Check measurements for an accurate fit.
